For best results and long-term maintenance, keep items in a jewelry box; for silver it is preferable it have a soft felt like lining. This will help prevent ongoing exposure to moisture and oxygen that can accelerate oxidation.

To keep your items shiny use a clear Gloss paint (such as Krylon); it works beautifully work for all metal costume jewelry. It is advised you clean your items first with a slightly damp paper towel, and dry off completely with a dry paper towel. Otherwise you will seal any finger prints or dirt on it. You should spray your items outdoors and use something to protect the ground (piece of cardboard or paper bag bag). Lay your items flat shake can, and lightly mist away. Spray from at least 1-1.5 feet away from the ground, gently covering the jewelry with each mist. Don’t let the gloss spray get too thick or drippy; the coat should be light. Leave it outside for 1-2 hours to dry, flip over and repeat. Wait until the jewelry no longer feels tacky or sticky before wearing. (For more hacks, search on Google)
